My VBS Kids

This is one of the girls from my VBS group.
Isn't she adorable, with the most amazing eyes? I loved holding her hand as we walked from one activity to another. Unfortunately, my daughter did not. They argued frequently over who got to hold my hand or sit in my lap.

There was another girl who liked just being teacher's pet; she also fought for my hand and lap. Then there was a boy who cried over everything. He would stuff his entire fist in his mouth while sobbing. He and his drool ended up in my lap quite a bit. There was one more girl who required extra attention. Her parents had just gone through an ugly divorce, poor baby, and she would have these bouts of anger and sadness.

Here's my daughter just before she climbed up a water slide, looking very happy. Unfortunately, she got cold feet at the top and refused to slide down. So she hid in the covered area, unseen, while I was busy with the other kids. There she cried for a good 10 minutes until a helper carried her down.

Despite all my griping, I loved getting to know these kids. There's nothing sweeter than a bunch of little kids fighting over you.

Hey, my cutie is just like me! I used to wuss out on all the rides when I got to the top also. What took you so long to figure out she's missing?? Poor cutie pie!

The girls are soooo pretty. It must feel good to have all the kids fighting for your attention and affection, Pam!!
